Welcome to Affordable Talk. Our aim is to make counselling, CBT and psychotherapy accessible for all. Affordable Talk Ltd was established in 2012, and in July 2020 we reformed as a Community Interest Company (CIC).

We offer online therapy and have therapy rooms in Cardiff & Swansea and we offer short and long term therapy for a wide range of issues.  All our counsellors have their own specialities, so please check out their profiles to decide who would be the best fit for you or contact us, and we will be able to match your specific needs to one of our counsellors.

Attending counselling for the first time may be a difficult step for you because of possible feelings of stigma around mental health, being seen as weak or unable to cope, feeling that there is something wrong with you or just not knowing what to expect.

At Affordable Talk we are here to dispel these concerns. We believe attending counselling is all about your well-being, self exploration and self development as well as learning new strategies and coping mechanisms to deal with difficult and complex events in your life.

Our counselling is conducted in a comfortable, welcoming and relaxed environment with counsellors who understand that people respond to life events in different ways.

We look forward to working with you!

Affordable Talk News:

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund which is specifically a Covid-19 response grant prioritising projects and organisations supporting communities through the Covid-19 pandemic. With this funding we aim to offer therapy sessions at a free or affordable cost for people who have been affected directly or indirectly by the Covid-19 pandemic, and this could include lower paid key workers and their families, students, people who have lost their jobs and many other people who would not be able to afford counselling. We are happy to consider each case on its merits, as long as we adhere to our commitment to help those who wouldn’t normally be able to access private talking therapies.

Just get in touch to find out more.
