Hi, I’m Sadia, in my final year as a student counsellor.
I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly at your own pace. My approach is person-centred, meaning I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to support you to understand your experiences.
I am particularly passionate about making counselling more accessible to clients from all different backgrounds. As a South Asian Muslim woman, I understand how different factors such as culture, family expectations, identity and faith can shape how we experience and talk about our emotions. And in some cases, having these conversations surrounding mental health can be difficult within certain communities. I hope to offer a safe space where counselling can feel more approachable for those who are unsure in seeking support.
From my own experience of seeking counselling, I understand how important it can feel to speak with someone who may share or understand aspects of your background. You might be experiencing anxiety, grief, feelings of overwhelm, or simply needing a space where you can speak freely and be heard. Whatever brings you to counselling, we can explore it together in a way that feels safe and supportive for you.
As a registered BACP member, I am committed to working within their ethical framework to ensure that our work together remains safe, professional and centred around your wellbeing.
