Juliana believes in the importance of building a trusting relationship with clients, so that you can work together towards effecting change and constructing meaningful relationships.
Juliana is a qualified therapist having completed an extensive degree in Counselling and Psychology. She also completed a course in Existential Therapy from the University of Oxford and is a member of the NCS (National Counselling Society). She has experience working with a wide range of adult clients in a variety of clinics, organisations and charities.
Juliana’s work is informed by psychodynamic and existential approaches. That means you will explore your experiences based on unconscious conflicts and personal history to help understand where some of your patterns might be coming from. There is also a focus on gaining a better understanding of your unique way of relating to the world.
Juliana has experience supporting people with varied concerns including: anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, domestic violence, self-esteem, eating disorders, identity and gender issues, cultural issues, relationship and family conflicts, among others. She also offers counselling in Portuguese.
