I’m Timea, but you can also call me Timi. I am a qualified pluralistic counsellor and registered member of the BACP.
I love working with clients who have had difficult life experiences, family/relationship issues, suffered trauma, or feel lost after a major change or loss in their life.
I believe it’s important to tell you that I became a counsellor after intimately getting to know how painful and brutal life can be. I understand how scary it is to stop avoiding the pain, sadness, anxiety, grief and shame you might be carrying. Working through these emotions with my therapist and finally finding a way forward was my biggest motivation to choose this profession.
As your counsellor, I will give you the time and care you need to realise what’s causing you pain and the possibilities to move forward in a more meaningful, proactive way. My aim is to provide you with a space without expectation and judgement and somewhere you can explore your deepest authentic desires. I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy and I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I work flexibly, inviting you to share your feedback, thoughts and experiences about what you like or don’t like in the sessions so I can work in the most helpful and engaging way.
I am also keen and interested in supporting fellow expats too with the difficulties of living abroad, and I can offer sessions delivered in Hungarian.
I have also undertaken additional training focused on supporting survivors of sexual abuse and had in-depth training and experience working with grief.
Timea is a Newly Qualified Therapist and her fee is £20 for online sessions, or £25 for face to face sessions at Cardiff Bay.
