Sometimes, looking for a counsellor can be a daunting experience. You could have lots of questions you need answered about me, before you make a decision on if I am the right person for you. So, let me tell you a few things about myself.
I am a friendly, easy-going person, with a good sense of humour. I pride myself on being able to make my clients feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed. Mostly we can find our way through life, but sometimes we may need some help. In my counselling room, my focus will always be on you, you will feel heard and valued. You will be able to tell me anything with no fear of judgement or criticism. Through exploring your feelings you can get a better understanding of them, which will support self- awareness and personal growth. This will build your confidence to accept the changes that are happening and to find your own solutions for them.
If you suffer with Anxiety, Panic Attacks or low Self-Esteem from a Trauma you have experienced, I can help you to cope with these. I will sit with you and support you through it and help you to find a place within yourself that is safe. I work with adults, and young people (13+) - I have gained my experience working with young people whilst working in a school environment for 15 years. I've also worked with Eye to Eye which is a counselling service in RCT for 10 to 15 year olds.
I cannot promise to fix all of your problems, but I promise you will not have to face them alone.
