Rachel is an Integrative Counsellor. Her approach is warm, understanding, empathic and non-judgemental. The space that she will hold with you is one that encourages exploration into a deeper understanding of that which you believe to be holding you back and causing you to feel ‘stuck’. The way in which she works is not to give advice but to ‘walk alongside’ you in a safe therapeutic space and within a safe therapeutic relationship. Exploring may come in the form of better decision making, clearer thinking, re-evaluation of strengths or seeking a deeper meaning in your life. Only you, as the client, know what it is that you seek and if you are not sure what that is, then Rachel will endeavour to explore that with you.
Rachel has a BSc Behavioural Sciences (Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology) from the University of Glamorgan, an MSc Medical Anthropology from Brunel University, West London and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Chrysalis – Cardiff). Rachel is also a Yoga and Meditation Teacher. The experience that she has to offer is in working with clients with stress, anxiety and/or depression, relationship issues, sexual abuse, addiction, self-defeating behaviours, bereavement and motivation.
As a Counsellor, she draws on a wide range of theories including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Ultimately, Rachel cherishes the importance of the unique relationship that is developed with each and every client during their time on the counselling journey.
Rachel is a Newly Qualified Therapist and her fee is £20 and she is currently offering online only sessions
